Trauma Informed Therapeutic Approaches

No single approach works for everyone. At Cadence Trauma & Wellness, treatment is tailored to the individual. We draw from a variety of evidence-informed approaches to meet each client's unique needs, goals, and experiences.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a brain-body approach that helps identify and process unresolved trauma, stress, and emotional experiences that may be stored in the nervous system. By accessing deeper areas of the brain involved in emotional processing, Brainspotting can support healing beyond traditional talk therapy and help reduce the impact of difficult experiences.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process distressing memories, trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. Using guided eye movements and visualization techniques, ART can help reduce emotional distress and create lasting relief without requiring clients to share every detail of their experiences.

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

Deep Brain Reorienting is a trauma-focused therapy that targets the brain's earliest responses to shock, threat, and overwhelming experiences. By working with the nervous system's foundational stress responses, DBR helps individuals process trauma at a deep level, often reducing symptoms of anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional reactivity, and chronic stress.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. CBT teaches skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges by developing healthier perspectives and more effective coping strategies.

Relational Life Therapy (RLT)

Relational Life Therapy helps individuals and couples develop healthier, more connected relationships. RLT focuses on identifying patterns that create conflict, disconnection, or resentment while building skills for communication, accountability, intimacy, and mutual respect. The goal is to create stronger, more authentic relationships both with others and with oneself.
